Manufacturing approaches that leverage digital twins—virtual representations that link design, production, and verification processes with actual equipment—are gaining increasing attention.
By reflecting the behavior of real machines and production lines as data within a virtual environment, the need for repeated prototyping and physical verification can be significantly reduced.
This enables issues and operating conditions to be examined efficiently during the design stage, contributing to shorter development cycles and improved quality.

At Muratec, digital twin technology was introduced by the Research & Development Headquarters in 2018 and has since become an indispensable technology.
By projecting digital 3D models using VR systems or life-size projectors, participants can verify size and movement as if the actual equipment were right in front of them, enabling discussions that extend beyond what can be identified through drawings alone.
Digital twin technology plays a major role in enabling simultaneous engineering, a manufacturing approach in which multiple processes—from development through production—are carried out in parallel.
