Furthermore, we have established a system to respond promptly and accurately to customer requests, while actively incorporating improvement proposals from each employee to build a sustainable quality improvement mechanism based on the PDCA cycle.

Murata has appointed Vice President Yosuke Murata as the Chief Management Officer to strengthen the company-wide quality management system. The management personnel assigned to each business division is responsible for strengthening quality assurance efforts, ensuring the reliable implementation of product safety measures, developing new initiatives, and facilitating smooth coordination both internally and externally. Furthermore, for critical and common issues, we have established a cross-functional meeting body comprised of the quality assurance departments of all five business divisions to implement improvement activities from a company-wide perspective. We have obtained ISO 9001 certification, the international standard for quality management systems, at our six major domestic locations (Head Office, Inuyama Plant, Ise Plant, Toyohashi Plant, Kisshoin Plant, Kaga Factory) and two group companies (Murata Systems, Ltd. & Muratec C.C.S. Ltd.). We strive for continuous maintenance and improvement. These certifications objectively demonstrate that our Group’s quality management systems comply with international standards. We will continue to strengthen our quality assurance systems across the entire Group to ensure the provision of high-quality products and services.
We are advancing the integration of quality assurance and digital transformation (DX) as a key management initiative. This initiative goes beyond mere digitization of operations to create a new paradigm for quality management. Specifically, we are working on real-time quality visualization and predictive quality management through the automatic collection of quality data via IoT sensors, the creation of AI-powered quality prediction models, and the deployment of a cloud-based integrated quality management platform. Through this initiative, we aim to enhance our quality assurance processes, accelerate decision-making, and raise quality awareness throughout the organization. Furthermore, by leveraging digital technology for quality innovation, we strive to improve customer satisfaction and create sustainable corporate value. Our company is focused on establishing a next-generation quality management model through the integration of quality assurance and DX.
