The Muratec Group implements Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activities with the objectives of ensuring human safety, preventing damage to the surrounding area, fulfilling our supply responsibilities to customers, and achieving rapid recovery. Through risk analysis that considers impact and frequency of occurrence, we identify risks that pose a threat to our company and establish manuals, plans, and crisis management systems to address these risks. Furthermore, by repeatedly identifying and improving issues through education and training, we aim to achieve effective BCPs.
We have established a Crisis Management Committee chaired by the President & C.E.O. Under this committee, we have appointed Crisis Management Committee members from each business division to build a company-wide, cross-functional risk management structure. The committee considers and implements countermeasures for various risk-related issues.

We conduct small-scale tabletop exercises annually, simulating recovery responses for each department. These exercises serve as a way to prepare for natural disasters like major earthquakes as well as cyberattacks. In the 2023 fiscal year, we conducted the program across 87 departments. Training was also conducted at our Taiwan facility during the 2024 fiscal year.

We conduct annual drills to confirm coordination between facilities during disasters, simulating scenarios such as a major Nankai Trough earthquake. After training, we identify current challenges and incorporate these issues and insights into subsequent initiatives.

We have implemented a safety confirmation system to enable supervisors to quickly ascertain the safety of their department’s employees during a disaster. Additionally, we regularly conduct training sessions to ensure that everyone is familiar with the system registration process. Additionally, each business site conducts evacuation drills simulating various situations such as nighttime emergencies and major earthquakes, confirming emergency evacuation points and coordination methods. Furthermore, we conduct VR evacuation drills that realistically recreate the scene of a fire outbreak, as well as training exercises simulating large-scale earthquakes and fires, utilizing drones to assess building damage from the air.

In addition to natural disasters, we also implement response procedures and conduct tabletop exercises for emergencies such as cyberattacks, which pose significant threats to our company due to their severity and frequency. To prepare for diversifying risks, we determine the priority of responses in management and expand countermeasures against these risks.
To accommodate factors such as increases in the number of employees, we regularly review the required quantities and types of disaster supplies and are expanding our stockpiles. We are working to establish a system that ensures the prompt distribution of emergency supplies to commuters, stranded individuals, and recovery personnel during disasters, enabling swift restoration efforts.
