 3. Notes
=================================
1) The scanner driver needs to be installed before you can use ActKey.

2) Please log on as an administrator to install or uninstall ActKey.

3) Please set the status of MFP to Remote PC mode on the device panel before scanning.

4) The 'Scan to Local PC' function can be used by ActKey.

For Windows Server 2008: In the scanner Properties, click the Events tab. In Actions, select [Take no action] and save.
Then in the Events tab select [Start this program:], choose ActKey as the program to start and save the settings again.

5) Paper Port can only open the image when the image is in the folder that is defined as 'Paper Port Folder'.
So if you use Paper Port for Scan to Application1 or Scan to Application2, in order to open the scanned image, you have to modify
the Paper Port or ActKey settings.

How to add a folder to Folder Manager in PaperPortSE:
(1) Run a PaperPortSE.
(2) Select Tools -> Folder Manager.
(3) Click an Add button and select the folder you want to add.
(4) Click OK.

How to add a folder in ActKey:
(1) Run ActKey
(2) On the Main UI dialog of ActKey, click the Button Settings menu.
(3) Select the Browse... button and choose the directory you wish to add as the one automatically recognized by PaperPort.

6) If you enable the 'Display the Scanner Driver' checkbox and use the push scan function, the Twain UI will be displayed. Click OK to scan.

7) When the "Scan to PC-Fax" scan job is performed, the printed result may be decreased in size or cut on the left margin.

8) For the Guest account under Windows 2000, changes to scanning settings will not be saved.

9) When both Netscape and ThunderBird email clients are installed (and one is selected as the default email client on ActKey), then "Scan to Email" may start another email client, resulting in a system error message.

10) When only Netscape is installed (and it is not set as the default email client), then "Scan to Email" will be unable start it.
