My machine shows "receive" but then disconnects. What can I do? Check to be sure the Block Junk Fax is turned off. To do this, press Menu, 2,2,1,0, Enter. The LCD will show "10. Block Junk Fax. Exit Block Junk Fax Mode (these are two lines below "block junk fax"). Select Block Junk Fax Mode and press ENTER. Make sure it shows "OFF". If not, use the cursor key to turn it off, then press ENTER to save that setting. |

My machine is transmitting black lines. How can I clear it up? There may be something on the scan glass. Open the document feeder cover and the inner cover. Locate the glass underneath the cover. Clean the glass with a soft, lint-free cloth that has been moistened with rubbing alcohol. |

My machine shows "Drum near end". What do I need to do? Your machine has approximately 500 pages left on the drum. You will need to order a new drum and have it ready to be replaced when the machine shows "replace drum." |

How do I get a meter reading on my machine? Press Menu, *, 0,9, Enter. The display will show "LIFE MONITOR". It will also display various counts. Press the down arrow key until the pages printed shows in the display. Write that down to give to your dealer. |
