New offering fills out “plain paper fax” line-up |

PLANO, Texas (February 6, 2006) Muratec America, Inc., manufacturer of multifunction office equipment and business productivity solutions, announces today the availability of the new F-112 series.
The F-112 is a compact plain paper facsimile designed to enhance the communication capabilities of small offices and workgroups. The device offers powerful facsimile features such as a 33.6 Kbps modem, 3 second-per-page transmission speed, 30-sheet automatic document feeder, 100 location phonebook, delayed transmission, image smoothing and 96-hour document memory back-up.
“The new F-112 series offer powerful facsimile and print solutions for those users who are restricted by workspace,” says Yutaka Moriwaki, Muratec America president and CEO.
In addition to powerful facsimile capabilities the F-112P also features standard PC connectivity and offers both USB and parallel ports. This connection allows for localized PC printing and TWAIN compliant scanning. The F-112P also includes SmarThru software which enables scan to e-mail, image editing, OCR conversion and basic file storage. Remote Manager is a timesaving utility which allows users to upload fax numbers into the machine’s phone book.
The unit also comes with a standard 250-sheet paper cassette and single-sheet multipurpose bypass tray, which is used to print letterhead, envelopes and overhead projector sheets.
The F-112 has an MSRP of $895, while the F-112P retails for $1095. The mono-component consumable cartridge is rated at 3,000 @ 5% page coverage and is designed for quick and easy user replacement.
