Plano, Texas (February 2, 2009) - Muratec America, Inc., manufacturer of multifunction office equipment and business productivity solutions, announces today the availability of the MFX-C3400, a unique multifunction solution that produces full color 11" * 17" output within the footprint of a traditional letter/legal MFP.

The MFX-C3400 produces color output at up to 26 pages-per-minute and monochrome output at up to 34 pages-per-minute. It features a standard 50-sheet reversing automatic document feeder, A3-size platen glass and duplex printing to create a robust, not to mention cost-effective, document handling system.
The MFX-C3400 ships with a 300-sheet paper cassette that supports a variety of paper sizes (up to 47 lb.), as well as a 100-sheet multipurpose bypass tray that supports thicker paper stocks (up to 110 lb.), letterhead, transparencies, envelopes and various other media types. The bypass tray, which can produce postcards as small as 3" x 5" and banners up to 11..6" x 47.24", enables a host of user applications. The maximum paper capacity can be increased to 1,460-sheets.
Both PCL 5c and PostScript 3 support is standard and enables printing from a variety of Windows, Linux and Macintosh environments. The 40-GB hard drive increases printing performance by enabling encrypted, password-protected printing, job timeout and other advanced document security functions.

- 5.8" touch screen and interactive voice guidance system combine to enable intuitive user interaction, job programming and troubleshooting assistance

The MSRP for the MFX-C3400 is $9,995.
The black toner cartridge is rated at 9,500 impressions*, while the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges are rated at 10,000 impressions*. The black, cyan, magenta and yellow drum cartridges are rated at 20,000 impressions. All eight imaging supplies can be easily accessed and are designed for user replacement.
