The MFX-C2700 was named Editor’s Choice by Better Buys for Business based on rigorous analysis of competing devices. The award appears in the 2011 Color Printer & Multifunction Guide.

The MFX-C2700 is a desktop color multifunction device that delivers exceptional scanning,
printing, copying and high-speed faxing to the workgroup. Product features include scan to
e-mail, automatic two-sided scanning, duplex printing, banner printing, one-touch faxing and
31 page-per-minute monochrome / 27 page-per-minute color output.

Better Buys for Business noted that the MFX-C2700 is a “…very good machine and offers a strong color option for customers…”. Analysts made particular mention of the MFX-C2700’s unique features such as the QWERTY keypad for scan to e-mail applications, ability to print on bannersize paper, 50-sheet reversing document feeder and full multifunction performance (print, copy,
fax and scan).

Buyer’s Laboratory 5-Star Environmental Performance Rating

The Muratec MFX-2570 has received a 5-Star Environmental Performance Rating from Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI). The multifunction device received the award after undergoing a battery of performance tests during BLI’s 2-month lab evaluation.

According to the published BLI Environmental Test Report the 5-Star rating was awarded based on:

1. Energy consumption in both running and non-running modes being the lowest among the competition.
2. Printing performance on 30%, 50% and 100% recycled paper (no curl or misfeeds)
3. Projected annual energy consumption and cost are the lowest among competitive models

The overall rating is based on performance ratings in eight categories. The MFX-2570 received 5-star ratings for “energy consumption & cost”, “runnability with 30% recycled paper”, “runnability with 50% recycled paper” and “runnability with 100% recycled paper”. The device received a 4.5-star rating for “tested toner yield” and 4-star ratings for “noise emissions” and “environmentally friendly features”.

Buyer’s Laboratory Pick-Of-The-Year – Outstanding Achievement for Energy Efficiency

The Muratec MFX-2570 has received “Pick-Of-The-Year – Outstanding Achievement for Energy Efficiency” from Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI). The multifunction device received the award after exemplary performance during BLI’s energy consumption lab testing.

According to BLI, “The Muratec MFX-2570, a small workgroup monochrome A4 MFP, proved itself worthy of an “Outstanding Achievement” award after consuming the least amount of energy, not only in the majority of running modes, but also non-running modes, resulting in a significantly lower than average projected annual energy cost than the average of competitive devices tested. The MFX-2570 also meets requirements for ENERGY STAR, Germany Blue Angel and RoHS.”

For the eighth time in nine years Muratec has received the “Outstanding Performance – Secondary Product Line” award from the Business Technology Association (BTA).

Muratec receives the top secondary manufacturer honor as a result of the 2011 BTA Channel’s Choice survey. The survey asks independent office equipment dealers to rate their primary and secondary OEM suppliers; the same series of questions applies to both primary and secondary manufacturers.
