Mike Christenson
Senior Director, Distribution / Repair Center
As the Senior Director of Distribution / Repair Center for Muratec, Michael Christenson manages the inventory, distribution and traffic functions of all Muratec products, inspection, reconfiguration and repair of incoming equipment. He is also responsible for facilities and security of the corporate headquarters and distribution center.
Michael joined the Muratec team in December 1986 in the customer support department. A year later he became the supervisor of the parts and repair area. Throughout his tenure he has received numerous customer service awards, industry recognitions and has received Muratec Imagemaker recognition for his multiple contributions to the company. Michael is credited with establishing Muratec’s retail repair center and managing the center’s operations which included machine refurbishment, repairs, customer returns, inventory parts management and returns. In 1997, he managed the relocation and establishment of an offsite distribution and repair center that resulted in significant cost-savings, improved operations and synergy of all Muratec products. In 2002, Michael managed the merger of Muratec’s corporate headquarters with the distribution center and was tasked with managing Muratec’s building improvements, lease negotiations, vendor relations and security.
Prior to joining the Muratec team, he worked in the oil fields of Texas and Oklahoma as a Stimulation Service Supervisor with a leading well servicing company. He graduated with honors from the Elkins Institute of Dallas in 1986. |

Carl Mica
Senior Director of Technical Support and Information Systems
In his role as the Senior Director of Technical Support and Information Systems, Carl Mica manages Muratec America’s Customer Support Center, Dealer technical training, Muratec in house training, and the delivery of service to products serviced by Muratec. Carl is responsible for Muratec’s IT direction and the implementation of Muratec’s IT strategic initiatives. He is also a member of the Muratec Product Team.
Carl has been with Muratec America for 21 years. He has previously held the positions of Technical Trainer and Manager of Technical Training and implemented Muratec’s Technical Training Program. As a member of the product team, Carl works directly with engineers to develop new products. He helped develop the award-winning NGP series of products for the US market. He has also supervised various Factory and Quality Assurance inspections in South Korea and Taiwan. Carl is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Prior to joining Muratec America, Carl worked for Fujitsu Imaging, formerly Burroughs Corporation, as a Field Engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology |

Patti Scotch,
Director Sales Support
In her role as Director of Muratec’s Sales Support Group, Patti Scotch oversees customer and corporate support for Muratec’s dealer network. and National and Government Account programs. Her department is responsible for customer service, sales administration, reporting, RFP processing, sales programs and order processing. Since joining Muratec in 1989, Scotch has held a variety of positions in operations and sales. She designed Muratec’s current National Account Program and conceived and implemented the current Sales Support structure which focuses on relationships, support, responsiveness and simplicity of transactions in an effort to ensure that Muratec continues to be the easiest company with whom our customers do business.
Under her leadership Muratec’s Sales Support Group has been consistently recognized by the Business Technology Association (BTA) for its commitment to excellence and she has received Muratec Imagemaker status for her multiple contributions to the company.
Prior to joining Muratec, Scotch held positions in consumer and corporate credit management for First Texas Savings (now Citigroup) and Chase Finance, and in operations management for Clark Aluminum Molding. |

Lou Stricklin
Director, Marketing
In his role as Director of Marketing, Lou Stricklin manages the sales promotions, dealer marketing support, branding strategy, public relations, advertising and web marketing for Muratec America, Inc.
Since joining Muratec in 2001, Stricklin has held a variety of positions in both marketing and product development. His responsibilities have included competitive intelligence, product management, collateral development, sales promotion development/management, event management, dealer sales training and business development.
As a member of the product development team, Lou works closely with the strategic planning and engineering teams at Murata Machinery Ltd. in Kyoto, Japan to determine North American market requirements, analyze technology trends and develop industry-leading office equipment solutions. He had a key role in the development of the NGP-series products that were named Pick of the Year by Buyers Laboratory, Editor's Choice by Better Buys for Business, Innovation of the Year from BERTL Test Labs.
Under his leadership Muratec’s Marketing Team has been consistently recognized by the Business Technology Association (BTA) for its commitment to excellence and he has received Muratec Imagemaker status for his multiple contributions to the company.
Lou Stricklin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas and has received CDIA+ certification from CompTIA. |

Sean Takasaki
Director, Product & New Technology
In his role as Director of Product & New Technology, Sean manages the product development efforts for the North American market. He serves as the key liason between Muratec America, Inc. and the strategic planning and engineering teams located in Japan.
Sean joined Muratec Sales Limited in Japan in 1991 as a regional sales representative serving a variety of domestic markets over a nine year period. Sean was promoted to the network solutions team for the Japanese domestic market and oversaw product planning efforts for the Japanese market. Sean is considered a leading authorities on Internet Fax communication and networking protocols.
Prior to joining Muratec, he received his bachelor of computer sience and business administration from Senshu University in Japan. |

Hiroshi (Hiro) Matsumoto
Director, Finance
As Director of Finance for Muratec America, Inc. Hiro Matsumoto oversees all financial activities including company performance, investments, credit and accounts payable/receivable.
Hiro joined Murata Machinery Limited in 2002 and has served in numerous roles in both Accounting and Human Resources.
Hiro was instrumental in the design, deployment and maintenance of Murata's Accounting Information System and and oversaw the development of the Personnel Evaluation System which was utilized by the Human Resources team to evaluate and redeploy assets into more efficient, profit-generating roles. Hiro also took an active role in developing and deploying HR policies. Hiro holds an Bachelor's degree in Economics from Kyoto University in Japan. |
